    Cairo has one of the most important collections of Egyptian monuments in the world. It is located on the north side of Tahir Square in the centre of Cairo.     Pyramids of Giza

    See one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the pyramid complex of Giza is the most important archaeological site of the Old Kingdom in Egypt. The Giza Plateau served three kings (pharaohs) of the 4th dynasty 4500 years ago Kheops (Khufu), Khephren (Khafre) and Mykerinos (Menkaure) as burial places. Especially impressive is of course the Great Sphinx north of the Valley Temple and the Khephren Way. Enjoy the particularly impressive panoramic view from the pyramids over the city of Cairo
