Leave Alexandria and escape for a day to Cairo to see the Plateau of Giza where the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Also visit the famous Egyptian Museum, full of antiquities from all over Egypt. End the day shopping passing to Papyrus Institute before returning to your Cruise ship in Alexandria

  Giza Pyramids and Museum

  Pick-up from your hotel in Alexandria, approximately 3 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle with one stop in midway, in case you need a rest. Get excited by a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chefren.

  Lunch will be served at a quality local restaurant.

  The Egyptian Museum

  Continue to the Egyptian Museum which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3 500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. And if there is enough time continue driving to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Finally you will be escorted by your guide back to your hotel in Alexandria
