The pyramid complex of el-Giza is the most important archaeological site of the Old Kingdom in Egypt. The Giza Plateau served three kings (pharaohs) of the 4th dynasty 4500 years ago, Kheops, Khephren, and Mykerinus. You will have free time to enter one of the pyramids-Kheops (additional cost), or take a camel ride (additional cost), you may visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional), home to the remarkably well preserved funerary boat of Kheops, continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates back to the time of Khephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Khephren. At the end of the visit you will be escorted by your guide back to your Hotel
