  Pont-Neuf

  Boarding on the Boat at Pont Neuf Dock to navigate on the Seine River, The white stone spans of the oldest bridge in Paris, ironically called “Pont Neuf”, linked the Île de la Cité to the two banks of the Seine in 1607. Henri IV inaugurated this bridge by crossing it on his white stallion

  Eiffel Tower

  Built by Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition of 1889, in commemoration of the centenary of the Revolution, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure in the world (324 m high) until the Chrysler Building in Manhattan was built. First criticized, it eventually became the symbol of France and is one of the most visited monuments in France, welcoming 7 million visitors a year. The three floors of the Eiffel Tower offer breathtaking views of Paris and its surroundings. It is now the highest observation platform in Europe. Its elevators take you to the floors where you will find something to eat as well as a detailed exhibition on its history. At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the Champ de Mars is bordered by gardens and fountains. It is a relaxing place to admire the imposing monument. Many artists and performers perform in the square and the place hosts several festivities throughout the year

  Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris

  Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral is not only one of the main works of Gothic architecture, but also the heart of Parisian Catholic ceremonies for 7 centuries. The huge interior of the Cathedral, which is a marvel of medieval ingenuity, can hold up to 6,000 people and has a spectacular pink window. Although Notre Dame is considered a superb architectural achievement, it contains all kinds of minor anomalies, resulting from centuries of aesthetic interventions. This includes the three main entrances which each have different shapes, and are accompanied by statues which were once colored to make them more meaningful to the masses when it comes to Bible lessons. The interior is dominated by a 7800 tube organ which has been restored but has not worked properly

  Louvre Museum

  One of the largest museums in the world, the Louvre houses more than 380,000 objects and 35,000 works of art exhibited over more than 60,000 square meters. The works are divided into 8 departments: Egyptian antiquities, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities, Islamic arts, oriental antiquities, decorative arts, paintings, sculptures, graphics and drawings. Among the most famous works, we find the Mona Lisa de Vinci, Liberty leading the People by Delacroix and the Venus de Milo

  Seine River

  Paris is 445 km from the mouth of the river, navigable up to 560 km inland from Le Havre, Paris and beyond. This makes it a lucrative trade route and Paris a prosperous city since the Roman Empire. In Paris, many bridges cross the Seine, the oldest is that of the Pont Neuf which dates from 1607 and the most recent being the Charles de Gaulle Bridge finished in 1996. The river divides in the heart of Paris creating two islands: the Ile de la Cité which is one of the districts where life is the most expensive, and Ile Saint-Louis. Many famous sites in Paris are close to the Seine: Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Orsay museum.
