    Lake Nakuru National Park

    Breakfast and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, a shallow alkaline lake that is world-renowned for its huge concentration of flamingos; at times, hundreds of thousands of these birds give the lake a pink shimmering glow. The park boasts a huge variety of animals, including leopard which is often found snoozing on the branches of the magnificent yellow-barked acacias, lion, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck, warthog, baboon, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe only found in this park in Kenya, white rhino and the rare black rhino which is protected and guarded here.     Aberdare National Park

    After breakfast, say goodbye to Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Aberdare National Park. Picturesque, steep, forested gorges and open moorland characterize the Aberdare National Park. The park offers a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalo, warthogs and bushbucks. Rare sightings are those of the giant forest hog, the bongo, the golden cat, the serval cat, the African wild cat, the African civet cat and the blue duiker. Visitors can enjoy picnics, trout fishing in the rivers, and camping in the moors. Bird watching is well worth it with over 250 species of birds in the park including Jackson's Francolin, Sparrow Hawks, Goshawks, Eagles, Sunbirds, and Plovers

    After breakfast in the Ark, say goodbye to the Aberdare on your return journey to Nairobi. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital Nairobi, dinner and night at the hotel

    Nairobi - end of the journey

    After an early breakfast at The Norfolk, you will be picked up from your hotel at 6:30 am and headed to Nairobi National Park. A short drive from Nairobi's central business district is Nairobi National Park. In wide, open grass plains and in the background of the city scraper, the scattered acacia bush is home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, giraffes and a diverse bird life with over 400 species. Visit the David Sheldrick Orphanage, where you can touch and even adopt baby elephants between 11:00 and 12:00. Later departure to the Giraffe Center. The center is a foundation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (Kenya) Ltd. (A.F.E.W. Kenya) and provides shelter for the Rothschild giraffe, which was critically endangered in the late 1970s. It is located in the native forest that once surrounded Nairobi. The center offers an exciting nature trail that stretches for 1.5 kilometers and winds through dense bushes and forests and includes more than 100 species of birds. In addition to the giraffe, other animals also live in the sanctuary, including warthogs, hyenas and leopards, which are sometimes encountered while walking along the path. Guests are also given the opportunity to get in close contact with the largest animal in the world, the giraffe, and even to feed it.
